The flavours and smells of the world mingled with our Canarian folk music last night



Last night Ingenio became a great mix of flavours and smells of the world thanks to the 50 dishes elaborated by the 17 groups, folk groups, partying and participating residents.Last night Ingenio became a great mix of flavours and smells of the world thanks to the 50 dishes elaborated by the 17 groups, folk groups, partying and participating residents.
After a few hours organizing the ingredients, cooking and baking the recipes in  the kitchens of many homes of our town, after the presentation of the canarian Carmelo Padrón, ending the VII Etnographic Conference, opened the tasting of the most varied delicacies during the activity called "Intercultural Meals" in Plaza Adolfo Suarez.

Sweet cakes elaborated by the Casa Argentina in Gran Canaria "El Ombú", food elaborated by walnuts, honey, cinnamon, and other ingredientes of Armenia; cakes denominated Tres Leches of the Association: Aztecas de Mexico, and Sago with cream, originally from Brazil formed the international menu, while "Orellas de Entroido" of Galicia and "buñuelos de calabaza" of Valencia, were also shown in the event representing the traditional cuisine of these places of Spain.

Completing the vast menu of dishes and desserts, there were some canarian typical dishes as gofio and typical cookies.

For your enjoyment, Canarian groups as: Parrandas Aguiza, El Draguillo, Centro de Mayores Ingenio, sang sounds of traditional and popular music, and other danceable themes and choreographies which were enjoyed mainly by members of the groups of Brazil and India who established a close relationship with the audience.
